Visibility as a Projector: What It Really Means to Be Seen

As hustle culture becomes even more prevalent in the entrepreneurial world, being visible and making your mark can feel overwhelming, especially when you're a Human Design Projector. As someone who has journeyed through these challenges, I want to share some insights to help you step into your power.

For those who may not know me, my name is Abigail Rebecca, and I am a Human Design Business Mentor. My mission is to empower women to be ICONIC—to stand out from the crowd and make an unforgettable impact. As a 4/6 Energy Projector with emotional inner authority, I understand the unique struggles and gifts that come with our design.

To start, let’s dive into what it really means to be visible. As Human Design Projectors, our strategy is to wait to be invited. On the surface, this can feel incredibly disempowering. You have dreams, goals, a business to run—how are you supposed to move forward if you’re just sitting around waiting? The key here is visibility. You need to be seen in order to be invited.

Now, visibility can look different for everyone. For some of my clients, simply walking into a room with confidence is being visible. For others, it might mean speaking on big stages in front of hundreds or even thousands of people. The first step is understanding what visibility means to you personally. But regardless of your specific definition, one thing remains true: being visible in person, at events, on social media, on podcasts and other platforms will increase your chances of being seen and invited.

What often stands in our way are various forms of self-doubt—imposter syndrome, fear of judgment, criticism, failure, or not being taken seriously. These are real barriers that need to be addressed. Clearing these blocks is crucial for us as Projectors, because we play an essential role in this new Aquarian age. Unlike the old Piscean age, marked by hierarchical and patriarchal structures, the Aquarian age is about coming together in love and community. As Projectors, our ability to guide with wisdom and sage insight is invaluable, and for this, we need to be visible.

But it’s not just about visibility for visibility's sake. It's about being visible with purpose.

  • What is your why?

  • What are your values?

  • Who are you trying to attract and guide?

Being visible with intention means being clear and specific about your messaging and who you want to invite in. This is what differentiates being merely visible from truly being seen.

The importance of being seen extends beyond just professional aspirations. It taps into deep-seated emotional needs that many Projectors have carried since childhood. We crave recognition and validation and if we didn't receive it as children, it can create lasting trauma that affects our ability to be visible as adults. I've met numerous Projectors who feel invisible, carrying the wounds of not being recognised or valued. This impacts their self-esteem and creates a significant block to visibility.

One transformative realisation for many is understanding that not everyone will see or value them—and that’s okay. The turning point comes when you learn to see and value yourself. I recall working with a client who felt invisible her entire adult life. When she began to see herself, recognise her own value, and understand her Human Design, her life changed dramatically. You can watch her testimonial video here.

It all begins with self-recognition and self-value. When you value yourself, the world will follow. Start by asking yourself: Do you value and admire yourself? This is the foundational step towards empowerment, freedom and becoming an ICONIC woman.
